Guide to Recycle Cement Jars

Give Your Vina Botanics Vessel a Second Life

At Vina Botanics, we believe beauty should last long after the flame goes out. Our handcrafted cement vessels are designed to be more than just candle holders—they are timeless decorative pieces for your home.

Don't let that beautiful jar go to waste! Follow our simple 5-Stage Guide to clean your vessel and transform it into something new.

How to Clean Your Cement Jar

Stage 1: The Freezer Trick Place your empty vessel in the freezer for a few hours. The cold will cause the wax to shrink and become brittle.

Pro Tip: Avoid using sharp knives to pry the wax, as you don't want to scratch the artisanal interior.

Stage 2: Popping the Wax Once frozen, use a dull butter knife to gently press on the edge of the wax. It should "pop" right out in large, clean pieces.

Stage 3: The Hot Water Soak For any stubborn leftover residue, fill the jar with hot (not boiling) water. The remaining wax will melt, float to the top, and can be easily removed once cooled.

Stage 4: The Final Clean Give your vessel a good wash with warm, soapy water. This removes the last traces of wax and fragrance oils, making it perfectly clean and safe for its new purpose.

Stage 5: Re-imagine & Re-use Now for the fun part! Fill your clean vessel with soil to plant herbs, succulents, or flowers.

The end result...
